This year, I decided I was going to write down my New Year's Resolutions. On New Year's Day, I wrote down: 1. have a baby. 2. become a skilled chef. The next day, I took a test and found out that one of my resolutions was going to come to fruition! (And let's be honest, the other one might never happen for me.)
The first trimester was the least fun so far (as expected.) I thought since my sisters and mom didn't get morning sickness, I would be off the hook. Wrong. It could have been a lot worse (and I'm soo glad it wasn't) but I still didn't enjoy the lovely evening nausea I had for about 5 weeks.
I'm enjoying the second trimester and the small little taps from the little babe that have started this week :) Its such a magical thing. I'm so grateful to get to experience it. I've been writing in a little journal every few days and its already really fun to look back at how things have changed in the last few months. We had an ultrasound today and we were soo close to finding out the gender, but my Dr didn't want to make a guess without being sure :( So now we have a 3 week wait until we'll know for sure!
